Employee Spotlight: Charles Behrmann
Meet our Executive Chef, Charles!
Charles is in his 6th season with the Rattlers. He is originally from Manitowoc Wisconsin, graduated from Roncalli High School in 2004 and Fox Valley Technical College in 2008 with an Associate's degree in Culinary Arts. Throughout his years in Appleton, he has worked as the Sous Chef of the Oshkosh Convention Center and kitchen supervisor for the Radisson Paper Valley Hotel. In 2016 he was nominated and won the "Emerging Chef of the Year" award, and in 2018 he won the "Chef of the Year" award from the American Culinary Federation -Fox Valley Chapter, a group he is currently active in, serving as vice president. Charles lives in Appleton with his wife, Kaitlyn, daughter, Norah, their two dogs and cat.
20 Questions with Charles
Before working with the Timber Rattlers, what was the most unusual, interesting, or fun job you have ever had?
I worked at a couple hotels, but my favorite was catering a wedding at a “castle” in Eagle River
Tell us a random or interesting fact about yourself that might surprise us.
From 2018 to 2020 I grew my hair out 14 inches to donate to wigs for kids
If you had any superpower what would it be?
Never burning food again, or making it cook faster.
What are you reading, listening to, or watching these days?

If you won the lottery what would you do with the money?
Something responsible most likely…. Pay off student loans, home, and vehicles, donate to charity, and invest.
What is something on your bucket list?
Eat at a three Michelin star restaurant.
What are your favorite hobbies?
Frisbee golf, playing guitar, spending time with family, and grilling.
Favorite vacation spot?
I was in Florida and really enjoyed it.
If you could travel anywhere in the world where would you go?
New Orleans!
What do you enjoy most about your job?
Doing my passion (cooking) everyday, and all the AMAZING people I work with
What is your favorite movie?
The Big Lebowski
If you could learn to do anything what would it be?
Cook :P but really some of the really intricate Asian and French techniques
If you could meet anyone, living or dead, who would you meet?
Jesus
What is a chore you absolutely hate doing?
LAUNDRY- it NEVER ends!!!
